But a few hundred feet from that tiny chapel stood the Gilmore School. As God would have it in 1976 the building was placed on the market for the highest bidder and our $20,100 offer was the winning bid. This would answer the immediate space problem but would also provide us with the perfect location to launch a new ministry. Faith Christian School began classes in September of 1978.

 

Though the school solved some parking issues and could house the Sunday school and children churches, our small church building was just not big enough  to  handle the crowds. It was 1980 when we saw that the Ridgemont Country Club was for sale. This would be perfect answer for us , located just up the street with nine acres of land, adequate parking, and a large dining room that could be converted into an auditorium. With faith and zeal we went to work and transformed the country club into a church and even sanctified the swimming pool.

 

Many wonderful additions and modifications have been made since that miraculous beginning in 1974. But the message has remained a constant and the faithful hand of the Lord has never failed us. To God be the glory!
